Clown Conservatory First Year program

September 7, 2010 - June 12, 2011

The first year program includes 18 hours of classes every week. Please note that these classes are part of a full curriculum and are not offered separately.
Students also spend between 10 and 20 hours per week outside of class rehearsing, training, reading and working on research projects.
The Conservatory students give six in-house performances a year plus numerous shows in theaters and community venues.
15 - 20 students are admitted into the first year program annually.

Clown Conservatory Advanced Program

2010-2011 School Year

The Advanced Program (AP) is open to anyone who has strong schooling and/or experience in the circus arts and the capacity to thrive in a rigorous and demanding program.

Advanced Program Core Requirements:

- Two Circus Center classes per term for 3 terms
- 35 hours of one-on-one coaching with Clown Conservatory faculty

Independent Study

The Advanced Program is based on an Independent Study model and is for performers who desire additional training and one-on-one coaching to take their performing to a higher level.  Students will work with a mentor to design and complete an individualized study plan, consisting of 35 coaching hours and incorporating training, performance, and business goals.  Candidates for this program must have professional performance experience and be highly focused and self-motivated.  
Admission by interview only.

Logistics

The Advanced Program 2010/2011 runs from September 20, 2010 to May 2, 2011 (30 weeks with a 2 week break in December).  Some work may take place outside of the regular session.

The tuition for the Advanced Program is $4000.00. Limited scholarships and work-for-tuition are available for qualified students.

Master Classes and Workshops
